Self Guided Motorcycle Tours A Customised Self Guided Tour is a highly integrated, itinerary package designed for you, to suit your personal preferences.

If you want to get in some golfing, skiing, diving or hiking, and you'd like all this woven into your motorcycle tour, then this package is for you.

Our Self Guided Tours are for those who want to be sure they're not missing out on the best roads, the best sights, the best activities, the best restaurants... but who feel they don't want a Guide.

It's a very Monty Pythonesque package, it's a Guided Tour..but without the Guide (remember the Spam Sandwich skit?). We can provide you with a Self Guided Tour of any length to suit the time and dates you have available.

The fares below are a guideline only, please ask if your timeframe, style of accommodation or preferred bike model isn't given.
Couples are assumed to be sharing motorcycles and accommodation; the 'Couple' price given is for both people.
Prices are given in New Zealand dollars (NZ$) and are subject to change.

As rates for luxury lodges vary considerably, we prefer to make a specific quote based on your preferences - please ask for more details.

Included in the Self Guided fare:

The bike, insured, ready to roll, usually hard pannier equipped (some models can be equipped with soft luggage only).
All accommodation while on tour.
All breakfasts, full cooked on most days.
Our detailed and comprehensive planning and booking of your personalised itinerary and provision of "The Bible" as it's been called by some - a 60 to70 page itinerary booklet.

Not included in the Self Guided Fare:

International Airfares to/from New Zealand
Internal air transfers.
Pre and post tour accommodation and meals
Lunches & fuel etc.
Activities (e.g. jetboat rides, boat cruises, whalewatching etc.)
Additional equipment (like helmets, rainsuits, topbox, tank bag)
Pre and post tour use of the bike
Inter-island Ferry fares.
